I actually broke my left arm today, but I couldn’t let this slip through my (5) blogging fingers. The video shown above is not only showcasing a sweet example of popping and locking, done by some guy who looks more like Ice Cube circa N.W.A years than anyone else, but also a dope beat by Lazer Sword, my new favorite electro group. Lazer Sword specializes in a genre that is being described by critics as “aqua-crunk” or my own personal assessment, “electro-hyphy.” I know, I know. This is a ridiculous idea, and why now? Well, why not earlier, I say. If Chromeo can do it, Lazer Sword surely has a fighting chance. Imagine J. Dilla vs. Justice, and you’ll have a vague idea of what these two DJs from Frisco are capable of. When you’re done doing that, peep these.
